All Modules

The "All Modules" section provides access to Kibi Connect's core functions as well as additional external applications that can be seamlessly integrated into the platform.

The Module Manager

In the Module Manager, administrators can define which modules should be available in Kibi Connect. The Module Manager offers the following options:

  • Control visibility: Define which modules are visible and accessible to employees

  • Manage permissions: Assign access rights for different roles

  • Manage modules: Core functions such as News, Wiki, Chat, Calendar, Colleagues, Files, and Groups can be enabled or disabled

  • Customize external tools: For external applications, URL, label (name), and color scheme can be individually adjusted

The module overview displays all available applications with brief descriptions of their functions:

  • News: Central news for all relevant information, global and from groups

  • Wiki: Central knowledge base for guides, documentation, operating instructions, etc.

  • Chat: GDPR-compliant communication for quick information exchange

  • Calendar: Clear management of appointments and meetings

  • Colleagues: Quick overview and easy contact with colleagues

  • Files: Central file storage for easy access

  • Groups: Organize users into groups, share information, plan projects, and more

  • External Tools: Integration of third-party solutions as needed

Adding and Managing External Tools

Kibi Connect allows you to seamlessly integrate external tools and services into your platform to extend functionality according to your company's specific needs.

Adding an external tool:

  1. Go to the "Module Manager" in the administration area.

  2. Scroll down to the "External Tool" section or click "Add Tool".

  3. In the "Basic Settings" section, enter the following information:

    • URL: Enter the full URL including https://

    • Name: The name displayed in navigation and as the title

    • Open in new tab: Choose whether the module should open in a new tab or be embedded in Kibi Connect

  4. Under "Visibility & Behavior", specify:

    • Roles: Which roles have access to this module (multiple selections possible)

    • Visibility: Where the module should appear in the user interface:

      • Page navigation (for frequently used modules)

      • Dashboard (for widgets and special functions)

  5. In the "Display" section, you can customize:

    • Description: A brief explanation to help users understand the module's purpose

    • Icon: The symbol displayed in navigation next to the title

    • Color: The color used for the icon and title in navigation

  6. Click "Add Tool" or "Save" to complete the integration.

Note: For embedded tools, you may need to request permission from the tool operator.

Managing existing modules and tools:

  1. In the Module Manager, you will see a list of all available modules (integrated and external).

  2. Use the arrows to change the order of modules in the navigation.

  3. Use the trash can icon to delete or deactivate modules.

  4. Click the arrow on the right to collapse or expand the detailed view.

  5. Use the "Collapse All" and "Expand All" options to adjust the overview.
