How does Kai's daily briefing work?

Updated Reading time: 1 min

On this page

Kai sends you a brief overview of your day at the start of work – as a message in the chat with Kai.

When you receive a briefing#

Only on days when you personally have something coming up:

  • your own appointments

  • tasks that are due today or already overdue

  • mentions

  • direct messages

New posts and wiki updates alone do not trigger a briefing – they only appear as a supplement if something is already pending for you. On days off, when you are absent, or have "Do Not Disturb" enabled, no briefing is sent.

Info

The content comes directly from the calendar and tasks. Kai does not freely formulate anything here – appointments, deadlines, and messages appear exactly as they are stored in the platform.

Pause or turn off#

Under each briefing, you will find directly in the message:

  • Pause: 1 week or 1 month

The briefing is suspended and will automatically resume afterward. Use "Resume" to end the pause early.

  • Turn off

You will no longer receive briefings. Use "Turn back on" to restore them.

In your personal Kai settings under Daily Briefing, you can also select a custom time. If you leave the field blank, the briefing will arrive at the start of your working hours.

For Admins#

The daily briefing can be enabled or disabled for the entire company under Administration → AI & Workflows → Kai using the toggle Daily Briefing by Kai. The briefings are paid for from the company's Kai balance.
