Where are the images that Kai generates created?

Kai can generate images on request, for example for posts or wiki pages (in the editor via "Generate image").

Where the images are created#

Generated images are created in a data center in France and thus in the EU. Previously, image generation was handled by a service in the USA – this is no longer the case. Which services we use is listed in the list of subprocessors.

For admins: Disable image generation#

1. Open Administration → AI & Workflows → Kai.

2. In the Image generation section, turn off the switch Generate images with Kai.

When disabled, Kai no longer generates images, and "Generate image" is missing from the editor. Which services we use is listed in the list of subprocessors, which is directly linked to this switch.
